胃がん
 胃がんによる死亡率は減っていますが、高齢者層ではまだ増加している傾向があります。胃がんは山形、新潟、秋田などの東北日本海側に多く、西日本の鹿児島、沖縄は少ないことが調査で明らかになりました。調査によると塩分の摂取量が関係していると推測されています。また、胃炎の後に腸上皮化生と呼ばれるの粘膜が腸の粘膜に置き換わりますが、この粘膜はがんになりやすいと言われています。
