大腸
 大腸とは、小腸から送られてきた内容物の水を吸収して糞にする臓器です。大腸では栄養の吸収も消化もほとんど行なわれません。大腸の細菌で分解されたアミノ酸から生じたスカトールやインドールが大便の悪臭の原因です。
