セカンドオピニオン
 セカンドオピニオンとは、第二の意見という意味で、患者が現在治療を受けている医師ではなく、他の医師にも治療についての意見を求めることです。例えば手術などの重要な決断をしなければいけないとき、他の医師にも相談してみたいと思うのは自然なことです。しかし主治医師に失礼ではないか？と言う人もいますが、医師はセカンドオピニオンのことをちゃんと認識していますので心配要りません。

Second opinion is a meaning of the second opinion and is to demand an opinion about treatment from other doctors not the doctor that a patient receives treatment now. For example, when you must do important decision such as operations, what I want to try to talk about with other doctors is natural. However, are you rude to Rev. chief physician? There is such a person, too, but a doctor does not need worry because I recognize second opinion properly.
