バチスタ手術
 バチスタ手術、正式には（左室縮小形成手術）と呼ばれている手術方法のことで、ブラジル人の外科医師Randas J. V. Batista博士が１９９４年から始めました。拡大してしまった心臓の一部を切除して容量を減少させる手術方法です。正常な心筋を大量に切除し形を整えてから基に戻します。
