異種移植
 異種移植とは、ブタなどの動物の臓器や人間以外の動物細胞で作った人口臓器を人間に移植する移植方法のことです。ブタの臓器は人間の臓器と似ていることから移植によく使われます。異種以前は臓器の提供者がなかなか現れず死んでしまうケースがよくありましたが、異種移植を導入することによりこの問題を解決できると期待が高まっています。
