モントリオール プロセス
 モントリオール プロセスとは、持続可能な森林の営業の達成を目標に地球サミット以降で行なわれる継続可能な森林経営の指標や基準の国際的取組みのことをいいます。モントリオール プロセスに参加した国は１２カ国で、日本も参加しています。中央アメリカイニシアチブや北アフリカ、中近東イニシアチブ、アフリカの乾燥地帯イニシアチブ、タラポト、プロポーザルなどが参加しました。またモントリオール プロセスはモントリオールで開催され、専門家達がヨーロッパ以外の森林を対象とする取り組みとして作られました。
