ＤＤＴ
 ＤＤＴとは、チバガイギー社ミュラー士が開発した殺虫剤のことで、急性毒性がなく安全だということで世界中で幅広く使われていた殺虫剤です。しかし、ＤＤＴは残留性の物質だということが分かり、鳥類の卵の孵化や卵の殻が薄くなるなどの悪影響がでたため、１９７２年にはアメリカで使用禁止になりました。日本では１９６９年の時点で製造禁止になっていて、同じく１９７２年に使用禁止になりました。
