リニアモーターカー
 リニアモーターカーとは、低振動かつ低騒音で直線運動をできる乗り物のことです。大都市市圏内距離の輸送手段や大都市間長距離の移動手段として利用されています。リニアモーターカーは１９６２年に研究開発が始まり、１９９７年には本格的な走行実験が始まり、無人で3両編成のリニアモーターカーは時速５５０ｋｍを記録しました。また、日本以外でもドイツのトランスラポットが２００５年にハンブルクからベルリンまでの距離２９２ｋｍを、商業運搬用に実験開発していましたが、予算の都合で中止となりました。
