プラズマディスプレーパネル
 プラズマディスプレーパネル（ＰＤＰ）とは、電力に特殊なガスをかけて時に発生する放電現象を利用し素子を発光させる方法で作られた表示装置のことです。プラズマディスプレーパネルは大型化にするのが容易であり、非常に薄型でスペースをとらない利点がありますが、画面の明るさ（輝度）や発光効率や製造コスト、消費電力にまたまだ課題があるようです。ブラウン管から液晶ディスプレーその次に来る次世代ディスプレーとして期待が高まってきています。
